Aztec Golem

Concept

This golem was made for the game Windwalker as one of our university projects. He is inspired by the a concept art from Deviantart and the robots from the the Ghibli movie “Laputa – Castle in the Sky”. Similar to the movie our game takes place in a destroyed aztec city high up in the sky.

He was sculpted in ZBrush, retopologiesed in Maya and textured in Substance Painter. I also took the time to rig and animate him. The animations gave him a more humanoid appearance.
